TALK | 'The New Epistles' by Samir Sayegh

  • Dar El Nimer for Arts and Culture Clemenceau Bayrut, Beirut Governorate Lebanon (map)

"While letters as forms, symbols and hidden signs form a bridge between calligraphy and Sufism, crossing this bridge leads to poetry." - Samir Sayegh

Artist, calligrapher and researcher of Islamic art, Samir Sayegh will be reading passages from his new book “The New Epistles”.
These new passages highlight the attempt to combine poetry and prose poetry with Sufism and Arabic calligraphy as manifested in "Mouzakkarat Ahrof" 2003, "Alef bi Hourouf Kassira" 2014 and “The New Epistles” 2017.
The reading will be followed by book signing and launch.
