Out of Life tells the painful experience of a French journalist taken as hostage in a war-torn Beirut. Slowly but surely his integrity and self-respect are broken. The film is based on the real-life experience of Roger Auque who was abducted in Beirut on the 13th of January 1987 and then released by the ‘Organization for Revolutionary Justice’ on the 27th of November 1987.
