Photojournalism: Aesthetics and Ethics

In the framework of the exhibition Josef Koudelka: The Wall/Beirut, Dar El-Nimer presents 'Photojournalism: Aesthetics and Ethics', a panel discussion which will present different approaches to the subject.

Dalia Khamissy (independent photographer) will address long-term projects (e.g. telling the stories of the families of the missing of Lebanon), highlighting their evolution and emotional impact on the photographer, while Christina Vatsella (director of Magnum Photos Gallery, Paris) will discuss the passage of the documentary photography from the press and the books to museum exhibitions, biennials and the art market.
