Creative Transformation of Trauma

When trauma is overwhelming, creative expression can help individuals share their personal stories, reconstruct their experiences, and recover.

How can the creative process be a healing process? What are Expressive Therapies? Is it merely colouring between the lines, sharing a narration, or dancing and releasing stress? And how can people who are affected by trauma be engaged in creative expression, including showcasing their art products?

Dar El-Nimer for Arts and Culture and Artichoke Studio- Art Therapy Center in Lebanon are putting together a panel on Creative Transformation of Trauma. The panel will emphasise on the therapeutic benefits of the creative process and showcase ways in which the arts can convey meaningful stories in contexts of violence.
