TALK | Biographical Journey of Maroun Tomb Between Palestine and Lebanon

Dr. Youssef El-Hage will analyze the biographical study of Maroun Tomb through his documentation work. Palestinian architect Antoine Raffoul with Palestinian researcher and collector Mazen Qupty who will both join through video call.

Dr.Youssef El-Hage is an Associate Professor of Physics at Notre Dame University. He is one of the first scholars to interpret and research the life and works of Maroun Tomb.

Mazen Qupty is a lawyer and founding member of the Khalil Sakakini Cultural Center, Al-Ma’mal Foundation for Contemporary, the Palestinian Art Court and the Palestinian Association for Contemporary Art.

Antoine Raffoul is a Palestinian architect living in Rome. He was born in Nazareth and was expelled with his family from Haifa in April 1948. He studied art with Maroun Tomb in 1955 in Tripoli. He is the founder of 1948.Lest.We.Forget and curator of P21 Gallery.
