Traveling Through Transparency with Kamal Boullata

Dar El-Nimer for Arts and Culture is pleased to host Palestinian artist and art historian Kamal Boullata to speak about his recent work. His lecture will reflect on the themes of identity and exile that have informed his art and the way they are communicated in his compositions.

The lecture will also be an occasion to launch the limited edition silkscreen 'Qasida' (poem) that Kamal Boullata created to benefit Al-Shabaka, the global Palestinian think tank. The print derives its title from the way its geometric components mirror the rhythmic structure of the classical ode.

'Qasida' will be on display at the lecture and offered for purchase. For more information, please contact Al-Shabaka: The Palestinian Policy Network at contact@al-shabaka.org
