Storytelling and Creative Mapping

Dis/Order and The MENA Design Research Center are calling for young Palestinians (ages: 18 to 28 years old) living in Beirut, who are interested in taking part in storytelling and creative mapping workshop.
Three workshops will take place on the 18th, 19th, and 21st of January 2022.
Each workshop will last for approximately 4 hours, with a combination of hybrid sessions and remote fieldwork.
The workshop will take place at Dar El-Nimer for Arts art Culture in Clemenceau - Hamra.

During this workshop, participants will use creative mapping techniques and methods to create their own artworks. The mapping will focus on capturing and creating stories about the urban environment from the perspective of young Palestinians living in the camps and their relationship with their city.
The goal is to provide an alternative storytelling technique to share stories and capture critically the relationship with our living environment.

The outcome of the workshops will be shared through a publication and a showcase event.
