Short Animations Films

Throughout the months of March, April and May 2022, the Youth Animation Platform (YAP), in partnership with Dar El Nimer for Arts & Culture, conducted three stop motion workshops in Ein El-Helwe (Saida), Mar Elias (Beirut) and Chatila (Beirut).

The workshops were made possible through collaborations with the Ghassan Kanafani Cultural Foundation in Ein El Helwe, Beit Atfal Assoumoud in Mar Elias, as well as Unite Lebanon Youth Project (ULYP) in Chatila, and were generously supported by the Arab Fund for Arts & Culture (AFAC) through a Training and Regional Events grant.

Over a period of three days, the young talented participants were able to learn the basics of animation, write short stories, create sets and characters and make their own short clips at the end of the workshop.

The outcome of this initiative, as well as behind the scenes footage, will be screened at Dar El Nimer on the 14th of July 2022, in the presence of all the participants.

The film will be followed by a Q&A with the trainer Fadi Siryani.
