Goha - Jacques Baratier

In the framework of the public program of 'Thief of Baghdad', Dar El-Nimer and Institut Français du Liban invite you to a screening of 'Goha', starring Omar Sharif and Zina Bouzaiade, and followed by a Q&A with poster collector Abboudi Abou Jaoudé.

Goha is a naïve young man whose friends and family take for granted. Little do they know that he has more intelligence, tenacity and imagination than all of them put together. The story takes an unexpectedly dramatic turn when the man falls in love with the young wife of his village’s elderly “wise man”.

Abboudi Abou Jaoudé is a Beirut-based publisher and avid collector of cultural and political posters. His collection accumulated to 550 original posters and 300 pictures and press books from around 20 countries. 'Thief of Baghdad', Dar El-Nimer's current exhibition (until May 25th, 2019), was curated from Abboudi Abou Jaoudé's vast collection of film posters.
