Beyond the Walls Series: Words from Collectors

Saleh Barakat, Abraham Karabajakian, Richard Haykel and Zeina Raphael will discuss the challenges of building an art collection, the raising interest collectors are developing to build Lebanese art collections and to make them public for both collecting and educational purposes.
This encounter is moderated by Saleh Barakat.

Abraham Karabajakian is a Beirut based art collector and art insurance specialist at Nasco Group.

Richard Haykel is an art collector and board member of BeMa (Beirut Museum of Art) and chairman of Haykel Hospital.

Zeina Raphael is a designer agent at ‘Almaz Collectible Design’ and co-founder of ‘The Ready Hand’.

Saleh Barakat is a Lebanese art expert, curator and owner of Agial Gallery and Saleh Barakat Gallery.

The talk will take place at Saleh Barakat Gallery and will be preceded by a guided tour at Dar El-Nimer for Arts and Culture at 5 PM.
