This film tells the story of the war in Palestine within the context of Arabian Nights, where Scheherazade tells Shahryar the tale of Aladdin and the magic lamp. One day, an Israeli soldier steals the lamp; Sindbad and Ali Baba try to help Aladdin. Does he retrieve his lamp?

Refugees for Life | 2006 | 48min

This film presents the experiences of three families of Palestinian refugees living in Tyre (south of Lebanon) and a human rights activist. It looks at their everyday struggles, their aspirations to communicate with their relatives in Germany and their constant waiting to return one day to Palestine

The screening is organised in partnership with Nadi lekol Nas and will be followed by a Q&A with director Hady Zaccak.

Hady Zaccak is a Lebanese filmmaker who has written and directed more than 20 documentaries which have received great acclaim and won international and local awards. He is also a professor at Saint Joseph University, where he teaches film writing and directing, as well as cinematic history and film genres
