TRIBUTE | Ibrahim Nasrallah

Taawon – Lebanon and Dar El-Nimer for Arts and Culture are pleased to invite you to the tribute event to the poet and novelist Ibrahim Nasrallah, moderated by Dr Ghada Sabih. The event will include a discussion of The Palestinian Comedy.

Ibrahim Nasrallah was born in Amman in 1954 to Palestinian parents who were uprooted from their land in 1948. He lived his childhood and youth in Al-Wihdat Palestinian refugee camp in Amman, Jordan. Nasrallah began his professional life as a teacher in Saudi Arabia; then worked in journalism and culture. In 2006, he became a full-time writer.

He has published so far 15 collections of poems and 18 novels, including his long-term project The Palestinian Comedy, which consists of 9 novels covering 250 years of the modern history of Palestine. Additionally, Nasrallah is a painter and photographer and has had four solo photography exhibition.
