The audience will dive into the creative world of Fouad and his father Maroun Tomb through the book ‘Fouad Tomb: A Humanist Painter and a Committed Educator’.
Written by Randa Sadaka and published in March 2022 by Dergham edition in French and English, the publication reveals the legacy of Fouad and that of his father Maroun Tomb, one of the pillars of modern painting in Lebanon.
Chaired by Joelle Tomb, the 'Fouad and May Tomb Foundation for the Arts' has been promoting the family heritage since 2019. ‘Meshwar of an Artist from Palestine to Lebanon’ is the first exhibition produced by the foundation.
The talk will be preceded by a guided tour with Maroun Tomb’s grand-daughter Joelle Tomb at 6PM.
Fouad Tomb is a painter, pedagogue and co-founder of the school ‘Arts et Renaissance’. He is the eldest son of Maroun Tomb.
Joelle Tomb is the president of the Fouad and May Tomb Foundation, grand daughter of Maroun Tomb as well as an artist and curator.
Randa Sadaka is a journalist, biographer and curator; she won ‘Prix France-Liban’ at l’Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie (Paris) in 2014 and the ‘Social Impact Reporting Initiative’ (SIRI) from WAN-IFRA/Women in News in 2022.
