SCREENING | 'The Unbearable Presence of Asmahan' by Azza Al-Hassan

  • Dar El Nimer for Arts and Culture (map)

As times harden in the Arab world, people have begun to recall one of the greatest divas: Asmahan. Today, traces of the Cairo that Asmahan once loved are difficult to find in the blanket of apathy that weighs on the city. But Asmahan is not the angle everyone images her to be. Behind her delicate face are dark secrets, so let's not be misled by Asmahan's 'unbearable presence'.

This screening is part of the Second Jordanian Film Month at Dar El-Nimer.
