SCREENING | ‘My Father Looks Like Abdel Nasser’ by Farah Kassem

Mostapha, in his late 70's, suffers from a sleeping disorder. His daughter comes to visit him home while he's running some medical tests. The film dwells in various intimate moments that the daughter tries to capture all along her stay, trying to get answers to all her questions, before it's too late.

Farah Kassem was born in Tripoli, Lebanon. Since 2008, she has been working as a director, editor and D.O.P on several documentaries. Her short documentary My Father Looks Like Abdel Nasser is the winner of the “Special Mention” Award at the Dubai International Film Festival 2012 and has been screened at various festivals around the world. Farah has recently completed her master’s degree in documentary filmmaking, within the DocNomads program, a mobile Film School in Documentary Directing taking place in Lisbon, Budapest and Brussels.

The film will be followed by a Q&A with director Farah Kassem.
