PERFORMANCE | 'The Gift' by the Arab Puppet Theatre Foundation

  • Dar El Nimer for Arts and Culture Clemenceau Bayrut, Beirut Governorate Lebanon (map)

From overseas, on a journey across three continents, a precious gift arrives from the east to the west... An elephant!
The audience will witness the elephant’s journey and his keeper Isaac; through their exciting adventure in the different cities, ports, and coasts from Baghdad to Kairouan, and then sail to the coast of Europe, passing through the Alps down to the royal city of Aachen. 'The Gift' is a performance based on a true historical story; it uses shadow puppet theatre and storytelling.
