In collaboration with Nadi Lekol Nas, Dar El-Nimer for Arts and Culture will be screening three short Palestinian historical documentaries that address current events in Gaza and the Palestinian territories. The event will feature the participation of writer and filmmaker Khadija Habashneh Abu Ali.

The screening will be followed by the inaugural book signing of 'Knights of Cinema' in Beirut. This book chronicles the story of the first film unit to support the Palestinian national liberation movement. The English edition of 'Knights of Cinema' was honored with the 2024 Palestinian Book Award.
The book signing will be followed by a conversation with the author.
Khadija Habashneh is a researcher, filmmaker, political activist, and feminist. She holds a Master's Degree in Psychology. She has worked in the fields of media and documentary cinema, as well as as a researcher and activist on women's issues and political work. She has also taught at university in psychology and gender relations. Khadija returned to Jordan in 1967 after completing her studies in Cairo. She joined Mustafa Abu Ali, Sulafa Jadallah, and Hani Jawhariya to establish a group of Palestinian and Arab directors who decided to support the Palestinian resistance by making films about the Palestinian people's struggle and daily life in refugee camps.
