DAR SAMAA' | 'Sabah Sings ABDEL WAHAB' by Mahmoud Zibawi

  • Dar El Nimer for Arts and Culture Clemenceau Bayrut, Beirut Governorate Lebanon (map)

Four years have passed since the demise of Sabah. On this occasion, Dar Samaa' will present the series of works which Mohammed Abdel Wahab had composed for Sabah during different stages of her life. This collaboration started as early as 1945, when Sabah was still a young lady embarking on her journey in Cairo, and lasted until 1972, resulting in an extensive collection of songs which were marked by their great diversity.

In this session, which is dedicated to Mohammed Abdel Wahab's compositions for Sabah, Dar Samaa' will present some of these songs in their chronological order, in addition to recordings from their rehearsals.

Developed and presented by Mahmoud Zibawi and organised by IRAB Association for Arabic Music.

Partners: IRAB Association for Arabic Music.
