The work of remembrance and reconciliation in Lebanon started as soon as the warlords declared the war over. Individuals and institutions created numerous valuable initiatives over the years, in an attempt to map a pathway for the survivors and the post-war generations to heal and cope with the ever-present trauma they inherited.
This panel aims to shed light on a few initiatives that resulted in substantial impacts, but that were however cut short due to insurmountable obstacles caused by the absence of any official accountability. In a potential interstice of hope in the country, we reinstate the perpetual question: how do we move forward?

- Ghassan Halawani; Filmmaker.
- Ghassan Moukhaiber; Attorney, founder of the 'Lebanese Band Association for the Promotion of Music'.
