AL-GHILAF | 'Stories of the Stories' with Abdelhadi Bazerbashi, Nour Ezzedine and Omar Thawabeh

  • Dar El Nimer for Arts and Culture (map)

In the fifth encounter of Al-Ghilaf, three of Ma3azef's editors and writers discuss their specialisation in investigative and narrative articles in a joint panel followed by a Q&A.

Ma3azef's Eastern music editor Abdelhadi Bazerbashi will delve into the methodology he follows and the experts he consults while writing long critiques and investigative stories, such as the biographical article The Homelands of Abu Bakr Salem which became a reference point in its field.

Nour Ezzedine will explain the exploration process which precedes each article in her series on obscure female Arab singers which she's been publishing for two years, including the unexpected paths and journeys leading to such discoveries.

Omar Thawabeh will revisit his master's thesis which developed into an investigative piece entitled Fayrouz's Civil War and how he discovered an unreleased recording of a collaboration between Fayrouz and Sunbati.
