AT THE SEAMS

A POLITICAL HISTORY OF PALESTINIAN EMBROIDERY

26 May 2016 - 30 July 2016

'At the Seams: a Political History of Palestinian Embroidery' is a Palestinian Museum exhibition curated by Rachel Dedman and hosted by Dar El-Nimer, Beirut. The first of the Palestinian Museum’s satellite exhibitions outside the West Bank, the exhibition will present Palestinian embroidery in an exciting, new light: as a form of heritage-driven nationalism, militant resistance, nascent economic power and a constant, critical source of inspiration for contemporary artists and designers.
