An opportunity to discuss key questions and problematics at the heart of the exhibition. The discussion will engage with concerns surrounding the pictorial role of embroidery in Palestinian art history; the work of embroidery NGOs and craft-production as empowerment; the shaping of identity and embroidery’s role in resistance. This is also a chance for the public to engage with the Palestinian Museum itself, its satellite concept, and position in the landscape of new institutions growing in Lebanon and the region.
