ALA.NI is a self-made artist. She composes and writes her lyrics, as well as directing her videos and managing herself. One could compare ALA.NI to a contemporary Billie Holliday; and argue that her vocals are as searing as Minnie Riperton. She describes her music as (something she doesn't find easy) "dark Disney".
